Hi, I'm Ash. I started Macison because I kept seeing the same thing inside businesses: a strategy on the wall, good people on the floor, and nobody joining the two. So I decided to.

I left school after Year 10 and started on a supermarket checkout at 14. What changed things was one manager who saw more in me than I saw in myself and backed me. That is the whole reason I do this work: most people have more in them than their job title suggests.

Since then I have spent almost 20 years building capability in businesses, most recently leading people and capability for a national business of more than 1,000 people across Australia and New Zealand.

Macison is a blend of my two children's names, a reminder of who I am building this for. When you engage Macison, you get me, and everything I have learned along the way.

Why we exist

Most businesses don't have a people problem. They have a capability gap. Good people get promoted without the tools to lead, teams grow faster than the systems around them, and the owner ends up carrying it all.

Macison exists to close that gap. We work alongside growing businesses in any industry to build capable leaders, strong teams and the right people in the right roles, so the business can grow without the owner doing everything.
